Here are some of the frequently asked questions about the 48 Hour Film Project:
Do you really write and shoot a film in 48 hours? Yes! We receive prompts from the official 48 Hour Film Kickoff Event on a Friday, and then hand the film in exactly 48 hours later. Last year, our writers developed the script on Friday night. Then, we then filmed all day at the Compass Performing Arts Center on Saturday. Last, but certainly not least, we edited the film at Full Circle Studios on Sunday.

Is this just a Buffalo contest?
No! The 48 Film Project is an international festival that gives independent film-makers the chance to have their work shown all over the world.
"The 48HFP takes local filmmaking international! We are in 130 cities around the world, on 6 continents. What does this mean to the participants? If you win your city, you have entered the international arena. Filmmakers from each winning city are invited to screen their films at Filmapalooza – our end of year event, and the filmmakers meet (and party) at this filmmaking Olympic village as they compete for the international title of Best Film."
