Buffalo Theatre Workshop (BFLOTW) was founded in October 2018 by Emma English because, like Green Buffalo Productions, she saw an opportunity to celebrate new work from local writers. She began with a call for submissions and a small group of artists who gathered on a monthly basis. This included actors, stage managers, playwrights, producers, designers, among others. In just a year, the BFLOTW Facebook page has over 200 members and a panel of moderators to help run the show!

What do we do?
Buffalo Theatre Workshop is a place to celebrate the production of original work by WNY writers. Each month, the moderators choose a script (or group of scripts) to read and discuss with local professionals in the industry. BFLOTW meetings provide local playwrights with the opportunity for positive and constructive criticism of their work. We want to offer support to writers from start to finish, so we give the playwright feedback based on our various areas of expertise such as writing dialogue, constructing a plot, adding stage directions, and practical approaches to stage and/or screen production.
