ELLEN SCHERER
Co-Founder Ellen is to bring your words to life with Green Buffalo Productions! As demonstrated by her Master's thesis on gender, sexuality, and trauma in YA literature, she loves getting to the heart of a good story. She is an experienced editor of one-act and full feature scripts for playwrights in the WNY area. She also has a rich history in performing arts with her first dance class at age 5. She began teaching tap and ballet to students ages 4-10 for the Newton Dance Company in 2009. While enrolled at SUNY Fredonia, she choreographed pieces for Interactive Theatre Society and The Vagina Monologues. In 2013 & 2014, she served as an instructor and Co-Director at Camp Romaca, where she taught scene study, improvisation, and beginner piano to children ages 5-16. Ellen is a moderator for the Buffalo Theatre Workshop and is currently writing and submitting one-act plays. She most recently directed GBP's May 2019 feature production (In Crazy Love) and assisted-directed two plays for the Spooky One-Act Play Festival ("The Ghost of Avon," "When the Skeletons in Our Closets Choke on Candy Corn.") Ellen is a poet and budding author. Her first book, RVCI: Gun Violence, is set to be published by Rosen Publishing this year. |
MADISON SEDLOR
Co-Founder Madison is thrilled to be producing innovative works of theater by and for the Buffalo community. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from SUNY Fredonia, where she studied acting, lighting, and sound in different mediums. Madison also began honing her writing skills through the school's Spontaneous Productions Play Festival, where she wrote a total of six plays, each of which was written in under eight hours. She has been a writer for various 48 Hour Film Projects (Making Pretend Productions, 2014-2016; Green Buffalo Productions, 2019). Her film, No Grapes, No Glory, won New York City's award for Best Film in 2015 and was also screened at Filmapalooza in 2016. From 2013-2015, Madison served as a scene study, script analysis, and improvisation instructor for children 5-18 at the Electric Dance Company in Fredonia, NY. Madison is also an up-and-coming playwright for theaters around the country. Her first full-length feature play, You & Me, was produced by Green Buffalo Productions in March of 2019. Most recently, her short plays It Will Be Us and Keep a Little Soul have been produced side by side at the Nichols school for their short play festival entitled "Bridges." Her short play The Woo Girl's Lament will be produced with Cone Man Running Productions in Houston TX this summer. Keep a Little Soul was also seen this year in the "10 Minute Play Festival" with the Theatre Oxford Company in New Oxford MS and the "No Frills New Thrills" play festival Off-Off-Broadway. |
