THE ACTORS
Emily Bystrak (Wendy) Emily is thrilled to be part of the latest Spooky One-Act Play Festival! Emily submitted her first short play for last year's Spooky, The Importance of Filing, and she made her film debut with GBP in Once We Were Lost, last summer for the 48-Hour Film Festival. Emily has also been seen on the GBP stage as Helen in You and Me: The Mostly True Story of the Day Before My Senior Prom. Emily is also excited to be a part of GBP's new podcast series, Almost Paradies, on which she plays Stevie Taylor.

Juli Grygier (Lucy/Shadow Dancer) is an actress and artist in Buffalo, NY. As always, she is very excited for the opportunity to work with GBP! Previous Green Buffalo roles include: Two in The Importance of Filing, Jazz in Liquidation, and Linda in Treading Water (hopefully coming to a stage near you next summer). Juli took a several year hiatus from theater to pursue a graduate degree in Higher Ed Administration and currently works as a consultant at an education technology company in Buffalo. Previous favorite roles include Cassie in Neil Simon's Rumors, Dora Strang in Equus, and performing in several 48 & 24 hour local film competitions. Juli also runs a small illustration business, find her on instagram @sugarlumps.illustrations!

Nick Edwards (Brad/Fred/Man/Shadow Dancer) was born in the before times, in a little state called Connecticut. He moved to New York after college for reasons still unknown. While in college, he played Mr. Hastler in the Pajama Game and Amos Heart in Chicago. After his time in college, he performed in some shows for Green Buffalo Productions (I am blanking on most of the names but I have great memories forgive meeeeee). Where they loved him so much they let him direct Liquidation, a show from early 2020 before things took a turn. Now back from popular demand, Nick Edwards will be performing in the Spooky film thing this year in 2020.

Sarah Hill (Lucy/Kelsey) is an actor based in Buffalo, NY. Past credits include She Loves Me (Amalia), Some Girls (Sam), Almost, Maine (Various), Comedy of Errors (Angelo), and Oklahoma! (Ado Annie), Sarah recently made her film debut as a composer and actor in Once We Were Lost for the 48 Hour Film Project and performed Off-Off Broadway in Madison Sedlor's Keep a Little Soul. She is a writer and actor for Green Buffalo Productions' Quarantine Quarters writing competition. She recently performed the role of "Ryan" Ellen C. Scherer's, I Was Here, for Equity Library Theatre's Summer 2020 Virtual Play Festival.

Sarah Emmerling (Jellybean/Stardust) is an actor based in Buffalo, NY. Previous credits include You and Me (Victoria Pericoloso), In Crazy Love (Karen/Beth). The House of Bernarda Alba (Melly Alba), Men on Boats (George Young Bradley), Mother Hicks (Helen Hammon), Hello! Dolly, and Me and My Girl. Sarah performed Much Ado About Nothing (Claudio) in London and Stratford-upon-Avon while working with the Live Literature Company. Sarah recently graduated from Niagara University with a BFA in Theatre Performance. She recently performed the role of "Jamie" in the short play, I Was Here, for Equity Library Theatre's Summer 2020 Virtual Play Festival.

Katarina Fretja Valentine (Ali) is a transgender woman of color who enjoys telling jokes to people in the hopes of connecting on a human level. She just wants to spread awareness to as many people as she can and spread the message of acceptance and positivity through humor. Katarina has been reading for GBP's Quarantine Quarters and will be performing next March in their first all women comedy competition, GBP Comedy Queen!

Hilda Myer-Post (Chaz) grew up in Fredonia, NY, and obtained her BA in Theater Arts from SUNY Fredonia in 2012. Favorite credits include Joanne in Company (SUNY Fredonia), Ilona in She Loves Me (Lake Plains Players), u.s. Lucy in Bright Star (Aurora Players). As always, she wants to thank her wonderfully supportive partner Kit because being married to an actor is hard.

Arash Omari (Monty) is stepping into the limelight with GBP as an adult trick-or-treater with a peanut allergy! He is also serving as a Production Assistant for this project. Arash has written plays for the Quarantine Quarters alongside Zack Hatrick and was an extra and lighting/sound team member for GBP's Once We Were Lost (48 Hour Film Project).

Arianna Lasting (Carol/Chloe) is so excited to be back again this Halloween with Green Buffalo Productions! She appeared in 2019's Spooky One-Act Play Festival as Carol in What's in the Box and Miriam in Ghosted. She received her BFA in Theatre Performance from Niagara University. Professional and collegiate credits include: The Outsiders (Marcia), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey II), She Loves Me (Ilona), Legally Blonde: the Musical (Vivienne Kensington), As You Like It (Phebe), The House of Bernarda Alba (Penny).
Kayla Storto (Lily) is ecstatic to be a part of the Spooky Film Festival with Green Buffalo Productions. Buffalo theatre credits: A Midsummer Nights Dream (Irish Classical Theatre & the BPO), The Odyssey (Art Park), It’s a Wonderful Life Radio Play (13 Players). Kayla holds a BFA Theatre and BA English from Niagara University. Educational theatre credits: She Loves Me (Amalia), Mother Hicks (Alma), 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Rona), The House of Bernarda Alba (Agnes), Taming of the Shrew (Bianca) and The Maids (Solange). She is a certified Basic Actor-Combatant (Academy of Fight Directors Canada) and has choreographed several fights most recently Rehearsal for Murder (Orchard Park High School). She has just finished her MS. Ed in Secondary Education with a concentration of English.
Deri Howell (Bonny Callender) is a new actor in Buffalo, NY. Past credits include various Quarantine Quarters readings with Green Buffalo Productions. She will also be playing "Eleanor" in GBP's 2021 production of Treading Water, by Scott Seifritz.
Dorothy Geberl (Dr. Penelope Gordon) has been participating in acting class with Tom Todoroff Studio Weekend Workshops since early May on Zoom. She recently took the Josie DiVencenzo Film Intensives Class via Zoom and volunteered at Villa Maria, working with Film Students from April to June. They filmed me in 3 short films on Skype. And of course, she loved reading with Green Buffalo Productions for the Quarantine Quarters!
